Terms of Service

Last updated: May 15, 2026

Draft. This document is a working template. It has not been reviewed by legal counsel and should not be relied on as a final agreement before launch.

1.Acceptance of terms

By creating an account at Bloom Academy or paying for an access window, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2.Eligibility

Bloom Academy is intended for users age 13 or older. Users under 13 may use the service only with verifiable parental consent, in accordance with our COPPA Notice. Parents or legal guardians may register and pay on behalf of a minor.

3.Account responsibility

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us at support@bloomschool.academy if you suspect unauthorised access.

4.Access window and payment

Access is sold as a 30-day window at the price displayed at checkout. Payment is a one-time charge processed by Stripe; there is no automatic renewal. While your access window is active you may book any number of available sessions on any day the tutor has opened, subject to slot availability and capacity.

5.Cancellation and missed sessions

You may release a booked slot by emailing us; see our Refund Policy for how access payments are handled. Sessions you do not attend are treated as used. With unlimited booking inside your active window, the practical remedy for a missed session is to book another available slot.

6.Tutoring services

Tutoring is delivered live and remote, in 75-minute sessions, by tutors selected by Bloom Academy. We do not guarantee any specific SAT score outcome. Score improvements depend on effort, baseline level, and consistency of practice between sessions.

7.Recordings

Sessions are recorded and made available to the student account for 30 days after each session. Recordings are for personal study only and may not be redistributed, posted publicly, or used for commercial purposes.

8.Intellectual property

All teaching materials, practice problems, and the Bloom Academy name and marks are the property of Bloom Academy, Inc. You may use them solely for your own SAT preparation.

9.User conduct

You agree not to share account credentials, share session recordings publicly, harass tutors or staff, or use the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts for conduct that violates these terms.

10.Disclaimer

The service is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific learning outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bloom Academy disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

11.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bloom Academy, Inc., its officers, and its tutors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid Bloom Academy in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12.Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing support@bloomschool.academy. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms. Termination does not automatically refund unused access; refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

13.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Kings County, New York.

14.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
